About the studio

A small school that treats uptake as a craft, not a dashboard theme.

Devtracebase opened its Asoke room in 2020 after too many Bangkok product reviews ended with a screenshot of weekly active users and no sentence about whether a shipped feature was actually used.

Mission

We exist so app teams in Thailand can say, with a denominator, whether a feature crossed the adoption floor. That sentence should survive a redesign, a language pack delay, and a sceptical finance partner.

We are not a general analytics bootcamp. We do not certify tool vendors. Students arrive already able to open an event stream; they leave able to defend a feature-level claim.

Why Bangkok

Thailand’s consumer apps often launch into a mix of LINE entry points, dual-language clients, and payment methods that appear weeks after the store listing. Those facts change when exposure begins. Teaching uptake from a generic Silicon Valley example would skip the work our students actually do.

The studio sits in Din Daeng so evening cohorts can arrive after office hours. Remote seats follow the same critique clock, not a diluted recording dump.

Pedagogy

Every module is a critique, not a lecture with a quiz. You bring a live feature. Peers try to find the hole in your denominator. Instructors only step in when the room is being too kind or too vague. Written templates exist so you are not inventing structure under stress, but the grade (for Stewardship) is the readout, not attendance.

Community

Alumni stay in a quiet forum used for event-name disputes and floor-setting sanity checks. It is not a job board and not a lead-gen list. Once a quarter we host an Asoke evening where one team presents a retired feature and the measurement that justified the retirement.

Student journey

Most people start with Adoption Signals. If their event names are already a mess, we point them at the taxonomy waitlist first. After the flagship, some return for Readout Writing when their company has a council format that fights the one-pager. The journey is deliberately short. We would rather see you stop paying us and keep using the floor.
